Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving, I sure did! Today, as I did a year ago, I went with David to his parents' house and had a really fun time. I didn't get to eat any of that big turkey on the table but I did get to eat Spirit's food. I can't really say that I liked it too much, I'd pick it up in my mouth, then spit it out when I tasted it, but then I remembered it was Spirit's food and ate it. See, for those who don't remember, Spirit is David's parents' curmudgeony sheltie. He doesn't like me very much, he's never liked me very much. Last year before I left their house on Thanksgiving I smacked him in the face with my paw. This year I was much better behaved though, I didn't bother with Spirit at all, I just ignored him.

My favorite part about Thankgiving Day was watching David's mom's birds. She has these two finches in a cage in her office and I couldn't get enough of them, I just sat there and watched them, my tail thumping against the door. Watching them made me so happy. I didn't bother them or anything, I didn't bark or try to push over their cage, I just watched them fly around in the cage. It was great! They're so much more interesting than those stupid fish in our aquarium at home.

I watched them very very closely.

They made me smile.

Another great thing about Thanksgiving was running around in the backyard. While they were doing boring things like playing board games, I decided to do high speed laps around the yard. I usually save my "crazy puppy run" for indoors when guests come over, but I decided to break it out for turkey day.

One thing I didn't like about Thanksgiving was Thomas' light saber. David's 7 year-old brother had a Star Wars light saber and was waving it around like crazy. I got really scared and ran and hid under the arm of anyone who was close by.
